Becoming America’s First African-American, Female Transplant Surgeon

My book is entitled “Beyond Every Wall” as it signifies the challenges I faced as a young child growing up in Barbados and having to walk pass the actual wall on the cover of the book. The passage in the book called “The Wall” details my fear of walking past the wall, but also explains the strength I gained from the wall as I struggled to avoid the frequent bullying that would be my fate.
